Cement slurry is used only for priming the pipeline. You need to coat the internal of pipeline from the point of pouring to point of placing you can get the quantity of slurry by finding the volume of pipe from length of pipeline and diameter of pipe. Then you can make the slurry in the...
It's better if you limit the height to 2.5 m max. The main problem arises during placing. If you increase the height and pour from top there will be segregation of concrete if it is falling from a great height.
So I have a situation where I have to join old slab with new but the length of dowels available for beams is smaller than the lap length.
For eg - 51d lap is for M30
Therefore for 16mm bar it is 816mm but available length of dowel is only 620mm.
What I was thinking is we have M50 grade...
The cantilever beam is supported on the column and the edge beam is supported on this cantilever beam. So logically if you think that if you want to support edge beam on cantilever the top bar of edge beam should be above the topbar of cantilever.
When such a problem arises consultant gives bracket beam in form of U bars which comes out of the column. Therefore in that case half beam will be supported on the bracket and half on the column. This bracket beam can be clearly seen in the pic sent by Mr.Deshmukh.
Whenever you are doing a large pour you must ask the vendor to do the weightment of atleast 5% of the total T.M to be received. This will give you the net weight of concrete loaded in the T.M this weight can be compared with the total weight of all the materials batched at the plant which is...
As I have generally seen on a RMC batch sheet they show some moisture correction with negative and positive values of amount of materials adjusted in the batch. How do they asses daily how much amount of moisture is present at the time of batching in the aggregates? Or is it just average values...
