    split spoon sampler and spt sampler are same thing ?

    To collect the disturbed sample, spt samples are taken in spt sampler. so while geotechnical investigation , we take sample from split spoon sampler. .so are these two same instrument ?

    Soil Testing in laboratory

    If the soil is tested to be NON PLASTIC as per IS code, do we need to test the shrinkage limit of the soil in the laboratory ? So if ive tested the soil as and the result is that the soil is Non Plastic, should I stop my test there and report the soil as non plastic or should I continue and try...
