Today we started to do calibration of admixture in our batching plant.
We got weighing stone of 2kg 2 numbers and 1 kg one number only.
Client suggest that he wants to check the reading for every 1 kg.

When we are thinking for another solution, our lay man gave a good idea to us.
1. First weighing 1 kg and note the reading.
2. Remove the 1 kg weight and put 2 kg, so you can get 2 kg reading.
3. Add 1kg so you can get three kg reading.
4. Similarly do up to 5 kg as required.

Presence of mind by the lay man was appreciated.

Good, but this may cause error if admixture cylinder is hanged on sigle load cell. Keeping weight on single load cell hang cylinder will lead to tilt and negative pressure (error might be small and may or may not cause any issue in produce concrete).

While doing calibration, load balancing is important factor, so while putting weights on skeleton attached to load cell do ensure, there is no negative pressure is created during calibration.

Aggregate conveyor have 4 load cells and skip bucket have 2 load cells.

For cement and flyash (most of cases its a single hopper attached on 3 or 2 load cell)

Some manufacturer do cheap trick to save money by installing single load cell for water and admixture.

Anyway, but whatever you shared is more useful and can help other to do some site tricks to get work done with less resources.
