Hello everyone .I am a sculptor working mainly with plaster, epoxy and silicon molds. From time to time I need counseling in technical matters.

Lately, I received a commission to make plaster cornices. One of the main problems I encountered is the fact that the casted cornices are bending at the corners. Since the corners are thinner than the main ornamentation from the middle, they dry faster and produce this bending of the cornice. I stacked the pieces standing vertically on the wall but this did not help. I have seen on YouTube a factory in China where the ornaments are hung in the air by a string embedded in the plaster, a method which I intend to use.If somebody has experience in the fie reasold , please advise.
