How can we increase workability of concrete?

Workability of the concrete can be increased either by addition of the water or by adding admixtures to it.

When water is added to increase the workablity, it increases the water cement ration and affects the strength of the concrete.

When admixture is added, it make water inside of the concrete, more specifically absorbed by cement to get out of it and available for giving the effect same as like additional water added for getting workability without increasing the water cement ratio.

Addition of admixture to get workability does not affect the strength of the concrete.
