Here are some useful tips which can help you to prepare for UPSC after 12th standard.
You must read more about the civil services.
You must talk with an IAS officer and learn about ground realities straight from them.

Go for graduation course which includes history and polity, they are of immense to qualify the UPSC exams.
During your degree days, study the subjects keeping in mind the UPSC syllabus.
If you master the subjects, you can take one of them as an optional subject.

You can have them as your main subject, and everything is based on your interest and aptitude.
