If we are having columns from X distance to X distance then on what basis the orientation of the. Column we have change or it base on load from slab ,beams?

Cannot understand your question. As long as orientation is considered there is not fixed rule or clause. You can orient it any direction. The architect convey their space requirements through layouts and then structural engineer designs it accordingly.

Column orientation plays major role in design of structures. Irrespective orentation of column leads to increase in c/s of column to withstand the moment occured, which can leads to increase in project cost. Orientation of column is fixed using the Bending moment. Generally if Moment across X direction is higher then Long face of column should be oriented along X direction. In simple words. if length of span is 25ftx10ft longer face of column should be placed along longer direction to restrain moment created by long span of beam.
