Which cement is better for commercial buildings either OPC or PPC Pls explain

As far as I heard from most of my friends. They uses OPC in their projects

Go for MIX DESIGN of concrete where based on strength criteria you can select the grade of cement accordingly. I feel using OPC you can introduce fillers which could be flyash/GGBS etc which will help in reducing Cement content and increase workability using the micro fines like flyash/GGBS etc. This mix helps in increasing durability of concrete at the same time making concrete more COST EFFECTIVE.

All other areas apart from concrete you should use PPC for all FINISHING ITEMS as its more crack resistant and durable as HEAT OF HYDRATION is minimal in PPC.

Wherever you have sulfates etc in soil then use of SRC is advisable. So there is no thumb rule for use of cement.

Depends on your requirement ... Both are safe to use for concreting of structural elements. That is why scientists have developed mix design methods.

For RCC work, I will suggest to use OPC cement with fly ash / GGBFS and
For finishing work, PPC cement is better than OPC.

OPC cement is for Structural Works and PCC for Finishing Works..........We have observed practically that PCC will give better finishing than OPC.

Blended cements are good at places where temperatures are high.
OPC is better at places where temperatures are low.
