The method statement describes the procedure for Installing and Testing of transformers and Accessories in the following stations:

Specification Clauses
Following Clauses of contracts specification shall be followed
a. Nokia Electrical Tender
b. Relevant Indian Standards
Mobilization Plan
The Sub Contractor will be fully equipped with plant and tools sufficient to carry out all the works.
The sub contractor and his labour force will have under gone a full safety induction course as conducted by the contractor.
Construction Equipment
No Major plant & equipment is required for this activity, minor equipment include as listed below are used for installation of Transformers :
1. Electric Drill
2. Screw Driver
3. Spanner
4. Cutter
5. Crimping tool
6. Pipe rollers
7. Torque wrench
8. Chain –pulley block
Personnel
The personnel on site will be fully competent to carry out all related works associated with the project to the relevant standards.
The site personnel will have attended the required contractors induction safety and/or competency training and will abide by the health & safety plans, policy and procedures.
Materials
All materials used at site should confirm to requirements of environmental policy of the project. The following material will be used for the installation of Transformers and accessories:
1. MS Channel & Angle for support structures
Construction Procedure and Construction Method
1. Support Structure:
a) Fix wheels to take load of Transformer
Electrical system:
a) Selection of size of power cable & control cable based on Transformer rating & Drawings
b) Laying of Trays in already constructed trench for the passage of power & control cable.
c) Laying of cable from Transformer to MDB & from 11 KV Panel room is carried out.
d) Cable termination is carried out at both ends using Thimbles & various other mechanical equipments.
2. Earthing system:
a) Construct the copper clad earth pit using 19 mm dia 3 Mtrs long copper rod for Body & Neutral earthing & its Inspection cover
b) Selection of Size of earthing cable based on Transformer rating & drawings.
