Anyone know why their is an extra bar in the beam?? Nd what is the schedule for it.?? Where to place and where to not??

s the beam is a flexural member,it fails due to the bending moment developed due to loading and to resists such bending it needs to provide extra bars at top as there is tension at bottom fibres and compression at top fibres
the extra bars are mainly provided to prevent negative bending moment.
It's is mainly provided where there are adjacent beams and chances of sagging.
