Checklist for External Painting Works consist of following points;

1. Material
   • Approved Make
   • Type
   • Shade
2. Erection of Scaffold
3. Preparation of surface (Thoroughly cleaned & dusted off) as per manufacturers specification
4. All openings/ Cracks filled in with approved material & method
5. Surface ready for Painting / not (Y/N)
6. Preparation of paints (Thinning of paints) as per manufacturers specification (Write proportions in Remarks)
7. Application of Priming Coat
8. Curing of the Priming Coat
9. Application of First Coat of Paint
10. Application of Second Coat of Paint after complete drying of first coat
11. Coverage (Area painted / Volume of paints) (Sq.ft / ltr) as per manufacturer specification.
12. Desired Finishing of Paints as per specification
13. Additional Coat, if desired finish not achieved / as instructed by Engineer In-charge
14. Dismantling of Scaffold
    • Removing of Covers for Windows
    • Floors

checklist is a important record it helps us in order to get work done correctly and it ensure we do not miss any point to check which is important from aspect of Quality of work.
Checklist attached herewith is just a sample provided for your reference, work carried out as per this procedure may have different sets of standards, material specifications, standard operating procedures and terms and conditions for doing that work.
