Determination of silt factor - US guidelines and Eurocodes

Hello Sir! For the design of foundations in rivers or any water bodies, we consider the scouring action and the scour depth, to find the erodible depth. The factor called the silt factor which reflects the mean size of the silt can be used to determine the scouring depth which in turn will be used for the design of foundations. This silt factor is also used for the design of channels. I have attached an image containing the formula for the silt factor for your reference. I will be grateful if you can throw some light on how this silt factor or scouring action is considered in the design of foundations in water bodies, in US or Eurocodes. Thank you!
