Difference between pre-tensioning and post-tensioning?

If Prestressing done before casting of concrete it's pre tensioning, if it's done after casting of concrete it's Post tensioning

Pretension .....tendon is tensioned before casting the beam ...after hardens the jack is released ...bonding action is takes place

Post tension.... tendon is placed in duct but not tensioned....after concreting and hardens...the tensioned.... bearing action is takes place to transfer the load
