Has Anyone Experienced Relief After Treatment for a Deep Tooth Infection?

Hi everyone,
I’ve recently been dealing with severe tooth sensitivity and pain while eating, and my dentist mentioned that I may need root canal treatment for teeth to save the affected tooth. I was initially nervous because I’ve heard mixed opinions about the procedure, but I’ve also read that modern treatments are much more comfortable than before.
I wanted to ask people here about their experience. Did the treatment help relieve the pain quickly? How long did recovery take, and were you able to return to normal eating afterward? I’m also curious if choosing a specialist made a difference in the overall experience and long-term results.
From what I understand, early treatment can help prevent the infection from spreading and avoid tooth extraction, which sounds important. I’d really appreciate hearing real experiences, advice, or recommendations from anyone who has gone through a similar dental issue.
