In this post I’ll tell you How you get Government Job after Completing your study.
Basically There are only two levels from where most of the people start their career as A Civil Engineer.
1. Diploma In Civil Engineering
2. Graduation or Bachelor's Degree
1. Diploma In Civil Engineering: This is the 1st Step towards Civil Engineering. You can Enroll in it after matriculation. After Completing this you can Start your Job as Junior Engineer in various Governments Deptt. E.g. PWD, Irrigation, Water Supply Deptt. etc.
For this you have to prepare for various competitive exams which are organized by State SSC as well as Central SSC.
1. SSC JE: This is test is conducted by Staff selection Commission on All India level. SSC conduct this tests every years for varous Departments like MES, CPWD, CWC etc.
You can start preparing for this if you want job in anywhere in Country.

2. State level JE exams: Every state has its own board who recruits new candidates for all departments in state & Every state has different test pattern which includes MCQ related to Technical knowledge, General Knowledge, Reasoning etc.
2. Graduation or Bachelor's Degree: As a graduate Engineer you can apply for Assistant Engineer post.
After Graduations you have some options Like.....
1. ESE
2. GATE
3. STATE PSC Jobs
1. ESE: Engineering Service Examination [ESE] is conducted by the UPSC for recruitment to the Indian Engineering Service. Indian Engineering service are the civil service that meet the technical and managing function of the Government of india. IES officers are selected by the union government on recommendation made by the UPSC.
2. GATE: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is conducting jointly by IISc. and Seven Indian Institute of Technology on behalf of MHRD, Government of India.The GATE Score is used for admission to various Post graduate Education programs like Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, PhD. with financial assistance provided by MHRD and other Govt. agencies.
GATE Scores also used by several Indian Public sector undertakings like....Airports Authority of India, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, National Fertilizers Limited, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited,Power Grid Corporation of India Limited,BARC, Coal India Ltd, RITES, IRCON etc.
3. STATE PSC Jobs: State Public Service Commission conducts test for Assistant Engineers recruitment for various departments in State like PWD, Irrigation etc.
