Determination of Aggregates Elongation Index
As per IS 2386 part 1, Aggregates are checked for elongation and results are tabulated as elongation index.
Elongation index is calculated as percentage of weight of aggregates retained on each gauge according to sieve sizes to the total weight of sample taken for testing.
