Hi Revati,

After B tech, first you decide in which field you are interest to develop your carrier. There are many options after B tech,

1) But for future perspective you do the M tech in structure and do some engineering design course and enters in Design Field.
2) Another options is that MBA in reputed organization and working in Project management Professional (PMP).
3) Enters in QMS system to develops your career in Audit management system, Now a day so much of demands in construction field.
4) Simultaneously conduct the various course, PMP, Primevira, MSP, Staad Pro, Internal Auditor, Lead Auditor etc.

If your family's financial condition is good, then you can go for M tech in any of the specialized fields namely structural engineering or construction management or foundations or geotechnical field. But immediately after your graduation, you have to work for two years post your degree. Once you have two years experience, take up an M tech course and then seek a job from campus. Nowadays companies have started visiting campuses in the engineering field too, just like in MBA. But before all this, first find out what kind of work you like to do in civil engineering. If you like to sit in an AC office then go for a career in structural engineering after doing m tech in structures. However, if you can work at site, then you can go for an m tech in construction management. Please be aware that a masters is not a necessity to work in the industry. However, you can use it to take up a teaching position once you grow old enough to not able to work in the industry. At that time, you can take up a teaching position with any of the institutes in civil engineering.

U should try for gov exams if you have good knowledge about civil

After B.Tech, if you want continue studies plan for M .tech, or otherwise if you want to start your carrier you have chance in Construction of Buildings and Construction of Roads or infrastructure. Now a days in india toomuch Road Construction works are going on.

If you have to build your carrier in design only then M.Tech is best option. And regarding government preparation it will be on your interest then either you have to do private or gov job.
