Surveying means doing survey, it can be of any thing and mostly related to collection of data and doing analysis of it such as any kind of online survey, government survey for identification of pieces of lands, Quantity Survey which means the doing analysis of various quantities of materials required for construction etc.
Leveling is also another kind of job / task in which levels are recorded, calculated or marked with level tubes, auto levels, spirit levels and all equipment which are capable of doing vertical measurements of height or depth.
