What is required to be done after 28 days if the concrete’s strength is 85%?

1) First and Foremost the structure should have been ensured curing properly.

2 ) As per CPWD Tech., Specfications, if it is nominal mix(1:2:4, 1:1.5:3 & 1:1:2) and concrete specifically done with OPC , the 28 day acceptable limit is upto 70% of the compressive strength. Any thing below 70% needs NDT or DT depending upon the importance of the structure.

3) As per CPWD and IS 456, if it is design mix, the acceptable limit as per IS 456 - Table 11 (as also posted by DNYAN Sir earlier in his postings) analysis needs to be done for mean of 4 overlapping & Individual results.

4) If Point no.-02 is not meeting out , then as per IS 456, if 50 to 60 cube sample results are available we can do Standard deviation.

5) If Point no.-03, is not meeting out , the we have to go for DT or NDT.

6) As per Point no-01, if curing would have been ensured properly, then NDT or DT will meet the criteria.

Sorry for some errors in the (point nos.) of previous posting and this is correct and shall be adopted for practice

If the target strength is not achieved after 28 days and if it's 85% then I see no reason that the concrete will gain any further strength ( of course when we are using PPC then target strength is achieved after about 90 days).

However, coming back to your question if you don't achieve the desired strength then FIBREWRAPPING is a very good option to strengthen the concrete.
