What is the specific weight of concrete?

Actual weight of concrete tends to vary depending on the raw materials density and generally ranges between 1%-3%.

As concrete is not a chemical composition but a man made product the weight will never be constant but will vary.

So for PCC the weight generally considered is about 2400 kg/Cu.mt and for RCC is about 2500 kg/cu.mt.

Specific weight of normal concrete under normal conditions can vary from 2400 to 2700 Kg per cum.

weight of the concrete mostly dependent on the specific gravity of aggregates used for producing concrete.

normal aggregates specific gravity ranges from 2.6 to 3.0
