To have a good defect free plaster, one must check the points listed in checklist during plastering activity.

Checklist is a important record it helps us in order to get work done correctly and it ensure we do not miss any point to check which is important from aspect of Quality of work.
Checklist attached herewith is just a sample provided for your reference, work carried out as per this procedure may have different sets of standards, material specifications, standard operating procedures and terms and conditions for doing that work. This all parameter or some parameter may not match with one you are executing at your Project.

Procedures to be followed before plastering
- Masonry surface cleaned as specified
- Sequence of plastering decided in advance
- Scaffolding material checked and erected as specified
- Beam bulges chipped off
- Gaps in brickwork filled from outside 2 days in advance as specified
- Wetting of brick surface done as specified.
- Level pads taken / line doris stretched as specified
- Chicken mesh / fiber mesh fixed at BBM and concrete joints as specified
- Coping to parapet top complete
- Plumbing pipe holes made and finished as specified.
Procedures to be followed during plastering
- Mortar proportion and dosage of admixture (if any) as specified.( )
- Mortar used within 90 minutes of preparation
- Water-proofing compound added as specified
- Thickness of first coat kept maximum 15mm
- Thickness of second coat kept maximum 8 mm
- Time gap / curing / application of bonding agent between two coats as specified
- Max gap between 2 coats kept 5 days or bonding agent used
- Pani patti / groove provided as specified
- Chhajja top plaster (rounded) merged inside with external plaster
- Finishing of plaster done as specified
- Plaster taken over parapet wall inside terrace without joint
- Parapet top given inside slope as specified
- Plaster joints kept at center of beams
Procedures to be followed after plastering
- Cleaning of frames/other surfaces done as specified
- Date of plastering marked for monitoring curing
- Curing carried out for 7 days as specified.
