Checklist of Internal Cement Sand Plaster, consist of following checkpoints in it;
Procedures to be followed before internal plaster
- Surface cleaned of algae, efflorescence, oily patches etc.
- 7 days gap between masonry construction and plaster application
- Masonry walls well-watered before start of internal plastering, as specified
- Door / Window openings checked as per drawing (necessary corrections done if required)
- Level pads (min 2"x 2") made on walls
- Level pads found correct for plumb and right angle for walls
- Chicken mesh / fiber mesh fixed at BBM and concrete joints as specified
- Base frame fixed (if specified) before plaster
- Sufficient lighting arrangement provided in dark areas
Procedures to be followed during internal plaster
- Mortar mixed as specified ( )
- Mortar used within 90 minutes of preparation
- Thickness of one coat not more than 15mm-18mm
- Electrical switch boxes in line with finished plaster level
- Plaster thickness of more than 18mm done in two coats
- Plaster cut above skirting level
- Plaster done /cut above FFL of toilet as specified
- Back coat roughened where wall tiles are to be fixed
- Plumb, right angle, line, level of finished plaster found ok.
Procedures to be followed after internal plaster
- Date of plastering marked to monitoring curing
- All surfaces cleaned off mortar
- Curing of plastered surface ensured for 7 days
