Internal Gypsum Plaster Works
Gypsum is use to make plaster on wall, it provide far superior smooth finish than the cement sand mortar.
Work checklist for internal gypsum plaster consist of following checkpoints in it;

Before Plastering :
  • Gypsum to be used is as specified
  • Door frames and electrical switch boxes fixed in line with screeds
  • Electrical grooves filled at least 3 days before with mortar and chicken mesh provided on it
  • Surface efflorescence/green algae etc. removed
  • Chipping off the bulged RCC members done
  • Chicken mesh fixed at Brick and RCC joints
  • Fish wire/ GI wire provided for all electrical points
  • Sill provision done for windows (Breaking not to be done for fixing sill after plastering)
During plastering :
  • Level screeds/pads made on walls and ceilings as specified
  • Level screeds/pads correct for plumb, right angle and room dimension for walls
  • Level screeds/pads found correct in line dori for ceilings
  • Back coat applied for portion where thiyya thickness is more than 10mm
  • Concrete surfaces applied with bonding agent
  • Mixing of gypsum done as specified (addition of powder to water )
  • Mixing done in clean buckets & trays
  • Mix is free of any lumps or foreign material
  • Mix should not be retampered and fresh mix not mixed with old mix.
  • Minimum thickness of plaster not less than that specified
  • Plumb, right angle, line, level of finished plaster found ok.
After Plastering :
  • All finished surface are plain, no undulations observed on surface
  • Cleaning of the electrical points/switch board, grills, window sills done
  • Proper cutting around the electrical points done
  • Plaster cut at skirting level
  • Finishing of top done for all lofts
  • All edges, jamb and corners checked for line, level, plumb and right angle, and found ok
  • Cleaning of the floor surface done properly
  • Cracked, damaged and discolored patches replastered as specified

check right angle with pads. thickness should not be more than 20mm. after punning completed. and dry condition and griding to be done using halogen light for undalation.
