Checklist of Waste soil, vent pipe fixing consist of following checkpoints in it;
- Checklist of Masonry
- Material: Make / class / thickness / length / dia as specified, regular shape of socket and spigot end, no visible crack/holes and all in sufficient quantity
- Pipe tested for water leakage (one end plugged and water filled in vertical pipe, to be tested for selected at random pipes)
- Alignment and location of fittings
- Slope of Drainage pipe, verticality of vent pipe
- Location of floor / gully traps, location of usage / provision for future points / location of inlet points / type of fixture
- Supports for pipe fittings (fixtures / clamps / packing), space available for sanitary fixtures & temporary plugging - clamps to be fixed in concrete - all packing to be done with approved non- shrinkage grout
- Fixing and jointing as specified
- Pipe protection by all round concrete (where required)
- Smoke test (one end plugged, smoke injected, no leakage observed and section passes) for all sections (if required)
- All traps covered with small pieces of gunny bag and plaster of paris, cowl fixed on vent pipe
