Wooden Door Frame Work
Door frames are important part of any structure it helps us to secure the area by fixing and locking shutter on it.
In order to ensure the safety and security of peoples who lives in that structure later after completion of work, it is important to ensure the work is being carried out as per work procedure and it should be checked by using checklist.

Checklist of Wooden Door Frame Work consist of following checkpoints in it;

procedures to be followed before fixing
  • Section, size and type of Door frame as per architectural drawing
  • Door frame wood seasoned and free from knots, bore holes
  • Stacking of door frames done as per specification on site
  • Wood primer/black japan applied on external sides of frame
  • Frame free from bend warpage twist etc.
  • Smooth jackplaning done for the frame on all sides

procedures to be followed during fixing
  • Door frame fixed in line, level and plumb.
  • Min. 6 fasteners used for door frame of size of 900mm opening or less and min 8 fasteners used for size of 1000mm or more.
  • Fastener head at least one cm inside the wooden frame surface after fastening.

Checklist attached herewith is just a sample provided for your reference, work carried out as per this procedure may have different sets of standards, material specifications, standard operating procedures and terms and conditions for doing that work.
