Surface where plastering is to done shall be thoroughly cleaned with wire brush and made free from slurry droppings, dust, grease and loose material and tie holes shall be plugged.

All RCC members should be hacked using hacking tool 50 to 70 mm C/C.

Fix in position level pads at spacing of not more than one length of straight edge for entire surface to be plastered and keep 150 mm from corners.

Check level pads for thickness, if thickness is more do carry out make up coat, and scratch surface rough to receive plaster. If thickness is less carry out chipping, so that minimum thickness of plaster is as specified.

Left out joints and gaps between block work and RCC member should be filled with 10 mm aggregates and mortar.

Fix in position chicken mesh 200 mm width in joints, equally spaced on block work and RCC.

Wet the surface one hour before starting of plaster.

Plastering shall commence from top and worked downwards to floor.

IWC liquid waterproofing admixture should be added to mixing water 100 to 150 ml. per bag of cement for first 12 mm coat.
