Being new to civil engineering site job, what should I ask my managers about the building construction? How can I gain more knowledge?

A young Civil Engineer when joins the Project and Start working at site, he should ask following;
1. What i should do? this is the biggest question that every engineer should ask. it will give you idea about kind of job you need to do while working at site.
2. Keep a good communication with your boss while working at site, this will help you in understanding things and gaining knowledge.
Nobody in real world do spoon feeding, so to gain the knowledge, one need to start understanding and keep on asking questions to self and others about it.
More knowledge can be gain only after doing more and more involvement and having strong communication with all.
