In high rise structures, verticality of all elevations of building is measured with the help of Theodolite or Total station. Which records the deviation in each flight of floor external face.

To control the verticality of structure the reference points from outer face are marked on every floor after casting of slab.

Any adjustment required to correct is measured from that point and corrected in flight casted above.

Reference points are transfered to each wall and columns in X and Y direction on floor from where reference line is marked with that two points on X and Y direction.

Points can be taken up via traditional methode like keeping two cutouts in slab and transfering points from ground floor to casted floor.

Verticality reports indicate the deviation in elevation faces.

Marked referance points on everyfloor helps in controlling / ensuring the column and walls are at correct position and in plumb.

Compare to conventional formwork, there are high chanse of deviation in verticality, when aluforms are used.

If cleaning of deck slab panel stiffeners / edges not done, it will tend to increase in floor area ( it has many joints which if not tight and due to slurry at plat edges, it will keep on increasing area of decking which will push oute wall on outer face and in multiple repetitions it will make elevation faces going out of verticality as aluform can not be compressed or elongated during construction)

In conventional, there are always chances to modify the shutter length and width by cutting and we can make any combination to ensure plumb of external face.

For reference points and lines, as such there are no records other than checklist which is jointly sign by engineer and surveyor (upon ensuring all points matches to external faces and where there is deviation it is reverified and accepted by engineer for doing correction)

For verticality report its just an excel sheet prepared by surveyor which shows deviation on each flight on each face of structure.

Thanks for the details explained.
