1) Do you Know Compressive Strength of Concrete ?
Ans :-
* Concrete is designed for its compressive strength and is denoted as M10,M15 , M25 etc.
Where M stands for the design Mix and 10 , 15 , 20 , 25 etc denote the desired compressive strength in N/mm2 at 28 days curing.
E.g - M 25 grade concrete gives the compressive strength of 25 N/mm2 ( Approxi 250 kg/cm2 ) at 28 days of proper curing .

2) Do You Know approximate volumetric proportions for various strength of concrete ?
Ans :-
* M7.5- 1:4:8
M10- 1:3:6
M15- 1:2:4
M20- 1:1 1/2:3

3) Do you Know pumps are required to be purchased in H.P units ?
Ans :-
* 1 HP ( Horse Power ) = 745.7 watts

4) Do you Know the relation between KW and KVA ?
Ans :-
* KW = Kilo watt
KVA =Kilo Volt Amphere

Total Electricity load for the building is calculated in KW .The sanctioned load is made available through transformer in KVA unit .

1KW = KVA x COS 0
Where COS 0 is the power factor and is usually equal to one (1) for residential buildings .Transformers are not available of the exact capacity of required load and hence the recommended transformer is always of next higher capacity .
For e.g : For 400 kw electricity load ,transformer is not available of 400 KVA ( Considering COS0 equal to One ) and hence the transformer of next higher capacity i.e 450 KVA is recommended .

5) Do You Know Maximum complaints of Site are From ?
Ans :-
* The site civil engineers has to attend maximum complaints are of plumbing and leakages .Therefore be sincere and careful while executing the work itself .

6) Do You Know Difference between TON and TONNE ?
Ans :-
* a) 1 Tonne (Metric ) = 1000 kg
b) 1 Ton (British ) = 1.01605 Metric Tonne or 1016.05 kg
c) 1 Ton ( U.S ) = 0.90718 Metric Tonne or 907.18

Yet there are so many things that we want to know which we learn from our day to day practices and experiences . We shall sharing this in our forum .

Thanks You !!
