So I have a situation where I have to join old slab with new but the length of dowels available for beams is smaller than the lap length.
For eg - 51d lap is for M30
Therefore for 16mm bar it is 816mm but available length of dowel is only 620mm.
What I was thinking is we have M50 grade concrete for columns so can I put M50 in those beams because for M50 lap length is less i.e 34d.
What are ur thoughts?
