The shear flow (q) at a section is equal to -

(a) q = V / A.

(b) q = M V / I

(c) q = V Q / I

(d) q = V Q / I b.

where V = shear force, A = area, I = moment of inertia, b = width at the point, y = distance of the point and
Q = first moment of area of the portion from the end up to the point about the C G.
