Cost of Quality is the cost incur to make the product to specified standard by doing right at first time only.

Cost of poor quality is additional cost incur due to reworks required to make non conforming product to specified standard.

Cost of Quality is to quantity, the total cost of quality-related efforts and deficiencies. Prior to its introduction the general perception was that higher quality requires higher costs, either by buying better materials or machines or by hiring more tools. It is a methodology that allows an organization to determine that its resources are used for activities that prevent poor quality or create good Quality.

The cost of poor quality is the costs associated with providing poor quality products or services. Costs poor qualities are costs that would disappears if system processes and products were perfects. It is a refinement of a concept of quality costs.
