About Column reinforcement.

Sir, In a two stored building , the final slab reinforcement and shuttering work is completed . But in column (250mmx250mm) size the reinforcement is not provided upto slab top and the reinforcement of the main bar 4 no @ 20 tor and 2 no @ 16 tor and other the column's main bar 4 @ 16 tor 2 @ 12 tor . The slab thickness is 175 mm.how we provide rebar to the column and casting the slab.Please give the solution.

Column Reinforcement must end at final slab level or should go up in case of stub columns.

In case it ends in slab do provide L shape bars by lapping it to main bars of column and anchorage length required at slab level.

In case its going to above slab - lap the bars to column bars and take it above slab level up to parapet height

Dear Sir , Actual the reinforcement of the column is 600 mm down from top of the slab so, how to rectify it.

Dear Sir , Actual the reinforcement of the column is 600 mm down from top of the slab so, how to rectify it.

Open the shutters of column and then fix reinforcement bars.

If columns are casted without reinforcement then break that column portion and recast after putting reinforcement.

Life of structure is more important than cost of breaking of those columns.
