m.Sand for M.Sand & N.Sand used for plastering ASTM C142 and ASTM C270-04

We can use M sand for doing plaster, provided all precautionary measures should be taken.

to know what can go wrong with M Sand in plaster, you need to prepare one sample patch with extreme condition.

Can we use M-sand for plastering?

Manufactured Sand with the granule thickness of 0 - 2.36 mm is suitable for all kinds of plastering requirements and is used across all segments such as Independent Houses, Apartments and other Residential & Commercial Projects. Plastering sand does not require to be filtered again at the construction site and can be used directly to prepare the mortar which saves labor, time and money.

Can we use M-sand for plastering?

Direct use of M-(manufactured) sand is little costlier. Hence we use blending with Crushed Sand. In Pune we are using it. However it needs to blend with crushed +manufactured sand in certain proportion, to obtain required sieve analysis as per IS code. And also need to add Shrinkage proof additives. You may also add Fly ash as additional blending.
